Forum is a student-centered group, your family while you’re at CHS. Each Forum is composed of 18 (or less) students from all grades. Forums work as a cohesive group, older students helping younger students through all four years of high school.
In addition to meeting two times a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), Forums spend 2 weekends a year scaling tall mountains, patrolling foreign borders, exploring arctic tundra, and relaxing on the beach. OK, maybe only that last one. Forum trips are back, though, and they’re fun!
Each Forum has a forum leader: a teacher from CHS who will help you through everything and anything. Your Forum leader provides career and class advice, moral support, and greased wheels in the school bureaucracy. In exchange, you pledge your eternal loyalty and promise to stay quiet when someone reads the forum bulletin.
Overnight Forum trips were canceled in 2004 due to rampant substance abuse. They’re back now, with some tough new rules imposed by puppet students forced into submission by our dictatorial school district. Here are some guidelines to follow when presenting your Forum’s overnight trip plan:
